1. Who we are
This shop is run by the parents of Sophie Bowers, a young neurodivergent artist based in South Liverpool, on Sophie's behalf. We sell Sophie's handmade gifts — including greeting cards, bracelets, keychains, phone charms, and mounted prints.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can contact us at: 📧 johnbowers270@gmail.com
2. What information we collect
We only collect the information we need to process your order safely and deliver it to you. This includes:
-
Your name
-
Your postal address
-
Your email address (for order confirmation or delivery updates)
If you order a personalised item (such as a bracelet with a name or initials), we'll also collect the personalisation details you provide.
If you're local and choose hand delivery, we may also collect a contact phone number to arrange drop-off.
We do not collect or store any financial information — all payments are handled securely by our payment provider (e.g. PayPal, Wix Payments, or bank transfer), not by us directly.
Our website is hosted on Wix. We use [Google Analytics / Meta Pixel] to understand how visitors use our site. You can find out more, or opt out, via [link to a short cookies section or banner].
3. How we use your information
Your information is used only to:
-
Process and deliver your order
-
Communicate about your purchase or delivery
-
Keep basic sales records for tax purposes (we're required to keep these for 6 years)
We will never sell your personal data, and we only share it with the trusted services needed to run the shop and deliver your order (our website host, Wix, and our payment provider). We do not use your data for marketing.
4. How we store your information
Order details are kept securely for as long as needed to fulfil your order and meet our tax record-keeping obligations (currently 6 years), then deleted. Digital files are stored on password-protected devices. Printed order information is safely destroyed once your order is complete.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
-
Access the information we hold about you
-
Ask us to correct or delete it
-
Withdraw consent for us to use it
-
Object to or restrict how we use it
If you would like to do this, contact us at johnbowers270@gmail.com.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
6. Children’s privacy
Sophie's shop is run by her parents on her behalf. Our products are bought by adults on behalf of children as well as by young people themselves. We don't knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13 without a parent or guardian's involvement in placing the order.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally to keep it clear and accurate. Any changes will be posted on our website or shared with customers directly if relevant.
